KORRES LIP BUTTER// WILD ROSE

Welcome back for the second post of the day! Woo! Exciting stuff right? Today I am going to write about a product I have been lusting after for while now and finally took the plunge and bought it. I am making it out to seem really expensive when its only $16, well I guess its pretty expensive for a lip balm!

I looked into this because I wanted a dark lip color but was sheer and lightweight and by reading reviews this seemed perfect so I went to sephora a bought it!

The formulas shiny but lip gloss shiny which I really love about it. Its lightweight and moisturizing. Definitely not as hydrating as aquafor or things like that but pretty good. It doesn't last very long but its so effortless to put on that it really doesn't matter.

This particular shade gives you a light wash of red almost like you just ate a red Popsicle. It gives life to our face without looking like you put on any lip product. Its very natural looking like your lips are just that rosy.

The only bad thing is that its a pot which isn't very handy for on the go use and very unhygienic but I'm pretty sure these come in squeeze tubes. Don't quote me!

Its perfect for an everyday pop of color or for the people that are scared of red lipsticks. I would really recommend you looking into them, they even have other shades like orangy, pink, clear and lighter reds.

You can buy them here. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.

LUSH COSMETIC WARRIOR

Lush is long time beauty blogger favorite so its about time I jump on the train. I have heard so many things about lush products and how wonderful they are but never really went out and tried any of their products.

I was researching some skin products for acne-prone, sensitive skin and decided to check out the lush website to see what they had. I saw this in the best-sellers and the description intrigued me. "Cosmetic Warrior is kind to problem-laden faces thanks to moisturizing egg whites and honey, which smooth and tighten the pores, and cleansing garlic and tea tree oil for a fresh, clear, happy face" (taken from Lush.ca) I checked out some of the reviews and they were nothing but raves! For the cheap price of $6.95 CAD and the good reviews I decided to pop into a lush store and purchase it.

And let me tell you, that was the best $6.95 I have ever spend! This is my holy grail skin care product right now, It's the most amazing thing I've ever put on my face.

While I was reading the reviews people said that the smell was absolutely horrendous but I found it quite pleasant actually. I was expecting a extreme garlic smell with eggs but it just smells like clay. I can't really describe it.

The directions say to only use it for 5-10 minutes but I kept it on for about 30-45 minutes and it didn't harm my skin at all and trust me, I have extremely sensitive skin. I used it every day after cleansing my skin with a clarisonic.

It is a chunky mask and its very cooling especially since you have to store it in the fridge. It dries relatively fast but slow enough that you can put it on evenly. It spreads on your skin nicely and isn't overly sticky. The only bad thing is that it only lasts 2 weeks. I kept it a little past the best before date... shhhh!

I instantly found that my face and breakouts were less red and that only improved the longer I used it. My breakouts cleared up in 2-3 days time and were hardly even noticeable. It didn't irritate or burn my skin one bit. It kept my face moisturized as well without making it greasy. My face is so even now its crazy, there is barely any/no red patches or dry spots.

I am beyond blown away by this product and I would recommend it to anyone with acne prone, uneven skintone, dry skin, sensitive skin and oily skin. If you have access to a Lush Store go out and buy it now or buy it here!
Whats your number one skin care product?

SHARE THE LOVE- THE SMALL THINGS BLOG

Its been a while since my last SHARE THE LOVE so I might as well bring it back with a blog I have been loving for a while now. KATE from THE SMALL THINGS BLOG runs a beauty, fashion, lifestyle and personal blog with a main focus of hair.

I love how simple and classic her layout is. Its neat, organized and easy to navigate. Her blog title was also the inspiration for my new name. I just loved how versatile the name was.

Her writing is like you're talking to her face to face. She doesn't make things too complicated and explains things with ease especially with her hair tutorials. (Most are made in video form)

Some of my favorite hair tutorials:
The Mid Knot
Messy Bun w/ Braid
A Little Bow
Lightly Curled Hair

I always find myself reading every single one of her posts and loving it. I also appreciate the personal aspects about her blog like about her pregnancy and her life. She also has an amazing mini-series about starting a blog: first post, second post, third post.

I really recommend checking out her blog if you haven't already!

FAVORITE SPRING LIP

I can't believe spring is only a few days away! Where I am in the world the sun is starting to shine and the temperatures are rising. I have been having an itch lately to wear bright clothes, break out the spring lippies and wear fresh-faced makeup. I was looking through my lip collection to find all my spring lip products and came across the Rimmel Apocalips in Nova.

I bought this in the summer last year around the time it came out but never wore it! I put it on and instantly fell in love with its beauty. Its a beautiful cool tone pink color. I like to think of it as a toned down barbie pink because it makes me feel sassy. In the pictures it kind of looks nude-ish but in reality its a very pink color.

I'm sure you all know about the Rimmel Apocalips and how they work but I'll just give you a quick run over of them. Basically they are a lip stick, lip gloss mix or a lip lacquer. They have amazing pigmentation and extreme gloss.

They smell like a rancid flower, not very pleasant. It goes away once its on though so no worrys :)

Nova is the perfect transition color, it's not neon, bam! summer color but its a light baby pink spring color. I really recommend you check this color out if you're in the market for a new spring lippie, just in time for spring break too!

I couldn't get a good lip color swatch that captured the true color so check out this blog post for a swatch + for the other colors in the line- http://myfunnyvalentineblog.com

Whats your top spring lip color? Have you tried this lippie?

CHANGING MY BLOG NAME!

Hey there everyone! I know this may come as a bit of a shock but I am changing my blog name to Lifes Little Things!

I didn't want to restrict my blog to only anything about beauty or fashion and I felt Head 2 Toe Vogue did that. Vogue magazine is mostly about fashion and beauty. Lifes Little Things is going to be about anything in my life that I love. Big or small.

If I find a new lipstick I love, I'll share. A new recipe? It'll go on the blog. Anything in my life! It will put less pressure on trying to put up a new beauty post or fashion or even lifestyle. I can put up whatever I feel like at the moment.

The new name can grow with me and can conform to any topic I can think of. I hope you beauties can accept the change. I love my new name and am excited about it. The name may be changed within the next few hours, depending on when your reading this.

2014 BLOGGER CHALLENGE- SPRING NAIL POLISH

Sorry for the lack of posts and lack of quality in this picture. Its been absolute crap weather lately so I have no chance for good lighting. I also have writers block AGAIN so I have no idea what to write. Hope you all understand! Now into the post...

With spring only a mere few days away people are putting away their dark nail polishes and whipping out their pastels and neons. I have a few nail polishes that are always the first to go on my nails as soon as spring is right around the corner.

Essies Navigate Her is a gorgeous pistachio green. It is my one and only pistachio color and the only one I've ever seen. Zoya is one of my favorite nail polish brands and Zoyas Blu is the definition of a pastel blue. Revlons Lilly is a light lilac color. This is one of my oldest favorites. I'm not sure if this is still available but any pale purple would work. Sally Hansen Coral Reef is a bright-ish coral color. Its the most gorgeous color ever and I would wear it everyday if I could!

Those are all my must-have spring nail colors. What are your go to spring nail polishes?

FEBRUARY IPSY BAG

So I have had an Ipsy subscription for quite some time now but I've never posted about it. I loved this months bag so I thought well why not post it. I always just felt it was so repetitive so I was never inclined to write about it.

I received 5 products and am in love with every single one of them. I haven't given them a proper use as I just received it in the past few days so this is more of an overview but if you'd like a full review on any of these products.

Overall I am very happy with this bag. Are you happy with your bag this month? Sorry this is a very picture heavy post but I don't have anything to write about the bag.

That's it for today my loves! Until Friday, Mwah!

2014BLOGGERCHALLENGE- FAVORITE HIGH END PRODUCT

Welcome to the fourth installment of the 2014 Blogger Challenge. This week is all about high-end vs low-end but since the topic is open-ended I decided to do a post on my favorite high-end product.

I got the Naked Basics Palette about 6 months ago and I am in LOVE with it! It has the perfect an everyday school day, work day or just running some errands. All the shadows except Venus are matte which is one reason why I love this palette so much. When I bought this I was looking for some matte shadows and this was just what I needed. So if you are in the market for some mattes go for this!

All the shadows are amazingly pigmented even the pale colors which is rare to find. The are buttery, smooth and easy to blend. If all Urban Decay eye shadows are like this then I am definitely going to be buying some more in the future. And with primer they last all day and crease free.

Venus is a white shimmer color perfect for an inner corner high light, Foxy is a yellow toned brow highlight, Walk of Shame is a slight pink all over lid color, Naked 2 is a pale brown perfect for a subtle crease color, Faint is a deep brown color amazing for a harsher crease or outer corner and Crave is just a dark black which can be used for anything.

That's all for today my loves, I hope you enjoyed this small review. If you are in the 2014 Blogger Challenge then leave your post link below, thanks!

EM LASH GALLERY MASCARA REVIEW

If you've been following along with the beauty community at all for the past few months, whether it be through blogs or youtube, you would know about Michelle Phans new makeup line EM. I know for me I never ordered anything because it was too expensive for my budget and they didn't have international shipping. So when I received this full size in an Ipsy bag quite a few months ago I was beyond ecstatic. I tried it out a right away and for a while so I could get a good review on it. I had low expectations because her line didn't get very good reviews but I was pleasantly surprised.

Note: They have recently lowered their prices slightly and got inter. shipping!

Packaging: The packaging really isn't all that special, plain white with silver accents and a small symbol. It is nice but don't something to go raving about to everyone.
Rating: 3

Brush: Its a bristle brush NOT plastic. It is sort of pinched in at both ends then flares out in the middle which gives more product on center of the eye. The top collects product so it can make a huge mess if you accidentally get to close to your inner corner. The brush also has a curve to it making it good for curling.
Rating: 4

Formula: The formula is very wet  making it a messy application process if you aren't careful. It's not a put on and go type its more of a sit down and take your sweet time type. The mascara can be very natural but it can also be very dramatic, its all about the coats. It gives decent length but pretty good volume. I wouldn't say its dramatic volume but its close. The biggest thing for me is that it doesn't flake or smudge throughout the day yet its easy to take off. It is also low on the clump meter, again depending on coats.
Rating: 4

Final Thoughts: Overall I would recommend this mascara to anyone. Especially if you have more time in the morning for that true dramatic look but if you just want a little definition then you won't need a ton of time. Its flake free, easy to remove, little clumps and voluminous.
Overall Rating: 3-4 (more on the 4 side)

Thanks for reading my loves. Hope you got some insight into whether or not you will be purchasing this EM Mascara, buy here. Until next time my loves!

MUA VELVET LIP LACQUER- FIRST IMPRESSION

I've heard a ton about the brand MUA London so I decided to pick up some products that jumped out at me. One of the products that really intrigued me was their Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer. This is what the website describes them as:
"Smooch your way to red carpet glamour with MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquers. Long - lasting and kiss proof, these intense formulas come in five rich, vampy shades. Encased in chic frosted glass packaging, these lacquers glide on with the ease of a gloss, drying in seconds into a matte velvety texture. They are the ultimate make-up bag must have"

Instead of me trying the product out for a week or two then doing an extensive review on it, I thought I would try something a little different. I decided to do a First Impression type post like ItsJudyTime, Casey Holmes and many others. I kind of cheated a little because I couldn't help but open it up and swatch it. oops..

*F.I Rating = My rating on first sight/use. Out of 4 stars. It may change after handling product a little more*

Packaging
I absolutely adore the packaging! At first sight I fell in love. Its sleek, classy and simple. The frosted glass adds a different touch then just a plain clear glass. It also represents the actual product with it being a matte packaging and the product being matte as well.

F.I Rating: ****

Brush
There isn't really anything special about the brush. Its just a basic doe-foot applicator. I will say it does work well with this product. It didn't streak the product or make the application uneven. If it was more of a brush I feel like the product would be hell to put on.

F.I Rating: ***.5

Formulation
I absolutely love this formulation so far! When I first applied it I was kind of put off because it wasn't matte and it transferred. I thought I just  got scammed but the MUA Marketing team but I left it on anyway. Note: It only took one thin coat to get full color payoff. I left it for a few minutes without touching it and to my surprise it was fully matte and didn't transfer AT ALL! I I kissed my hand, I rubbed my lips, I drank water and it didn't budge. Even the swatch on my hand didn't come off, I even used makeup remover! So far its a yes for me!

F.I Rating = ****

Check up 2: After wearing it for about 1-2 hours I'd say I rubbed my lips again and it started to flake off a bit. I look at my finger and there was bits of the color. I looked in the mirror and in the center of my lips were patches where the product came off. It wasn't from water or food but just from touching my lips. I was still pleased though because it wasn't feathering, mostly all of the product was still on, it still didn't transfer and I could drink and eat w/o it all coming off. Still a yes!
F.I Rating = ***.5

Check up 3: For the next few hours I wanted to see if you are able to reapply this product over your previous coat. Since it started peeling and flaking off I though it would be appropriate here. It still applied evenly and covered the patches perfectly. It evened smoothed over the flaking and stopped it for a little bit.  Its a go for reapplying! Shortly after the reapply my lips started to feel more dry than before. I ate, checked and was shocked to see that almost half of my lip was bare. The product peeled off and not in a flattering way. My lips are very patchy now. Almost all the product has peeled off. Still doesn't transfer though!

F.I Rating = **

Last Check up: The product faded more and more. It stopped peeling though, it only started to fade and get worn off. It didn't fade evenly at all! There was still a light amount on my top lip. It left a stain on my bottom lip that made it look like I was just wearing lip liner. It stayed like this until I washed it off at night.

F.I Rating = .5/*

Overall, I would recommend this product if you have the patience and time to maintain it. You would get a couple hours of wear then you'd have to remove and reapply. Little bit more work than a tinted lip balm but if you want a matte, pigmented lip product then you have to deal with it. All the colors in the range are quite bright so beware. Buy Here

Tips: Prep your lips before- exfoliate and moisturize!(I didn't but I could tell it would help)
Don't reapply over a previous coat- makes the peeling worse
Avoid liquid foods like juices, soups, smoothies- lowers the wear time of product

The Blogger Made Me Buy It Tag + Life Update!

Long time no talk my loves. You probably think I fell off the face of the earth but guess what? I didn't! I'll get more into where I've been at the end of the post because not everyone cares about my life. I decided to start my posting off with a tag that I've seen floating around the interweb. This tag has been popping up left and right in my blog feed so I thought I would hop on the bandwagon and do it as well.

1. Who are your most influential bloggers? Who are the ones that you really rely on for reviews and swatches?
I definitely love Drugstore Dreamer here on blogger. She has tons of reviews up and all drugstore. Southern Charmed (formerly know as Little Miss Average) has great honest reviews up on her channel as well. But I haven't found the one blogger I always go to, I kind of just search Google. Looking for the one though, so if you post loads of reviews and swatches leave your link below!

2. Do you buy a product solely as a result from one review from your favorite bloggers, or do you look for more reviews from others?
I almost always look for more reviews via other bloggers or the good ol' Google. The only time I don't is if I completely trust a blogger and tend to like everything they like. For high-end products its a must though!

3. What is your most favorite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?
It would either have to be my Naked Basics Palette or the Benefit They're Real Mascara. Both of them are absolutely amazing and would recommend them to anyone! Use them everyday!

4. What is your least favorite item that you have ever bought as a consequence of blogs?
Either the Maybelline Mega Plush Mascara or the Maybelline BB Cream. Both are not nearly as amazing as they were hyped to be. Big let down by those two products. I have more but I don't feel like listing them all. Let me know if you want a post on products not worth the hype!

5. Name 5 products that you have bought recently as a result of blogs.
Haven't bought much makeup lately. BH Cosmetics 88 Color Palettes. MUA Makeup. Rimmel Apocalips. La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo. Urban Decay DeSlick Setting Spray. These aren't that recent but shh..

6. Have you ever given into blogger hype? If so, which hype?
Oh yes! All the time! I feel like I just answered the products in questions number 3, 4 and 5 so I don't want to be repetitive. But one major one is the Beauty Blender. It was talked about so so so much on youtube, blogs, online, in real life. I totally gave in!

7. Have you ever avoided blogger hype? If so, which hype?
It's not that I've avoided them I just haven't gotten my hands on them. That is the Naked Palettes. Also the Nars Orgasm Blush. I can't justify spending like 20- 30 dollars on a blush!

8. Is everything you buy based on blogger reviews or are there some items you buy without checking out a review?
80% of the things I buy are out of blog/youtube reviews. Sometimes I'm just walking down the aisle an I see something that catches my eye and into my basket it goes. I fall into the marketing traps/ schemes of brands. They suck me into the black hole and there is no way of escaping.

If you were here for the beauty stuff them bye bye for now! See you in my next post! But if you want to know my life then keep on reading for more fun and excitement!

Right now my life has been a jumble of school, stress, social life and yes.. Netflix! Lame excuses I know but it's true! Lately I've just been dumped with loads of school work. I'm not the most stay focused type of person so it took me a lot longer. I've mean't to post so many times but one, I've had writers block since January 1st and two, I got busy. I thought I'd do better without a schedule but I guess not :/ I'm officially going back to my Tuesday, Friday, sometimes Sunday posting schedule with the hopes of staying on track. Be aware though, come mid-June I will be neck deep in exams and school so it may drop off a little bit. Well I think I've ramble on for too long and I've had the break I needed so I'm just gonna go and enjoy my life! Until Sunday my loves, Stay fabulous!

2014 BLOGGER CHALLENGE- FRUITS FOR SKIN

Welcome to the second installment of the 2014 Blogger Challenge. This weeks topic is skincare, anything about skincare! For my skincare video I decided to share with you some fruits for the skin. I am going to cover all skin issues like dry, oily, sensitive, combo, acne, scarring and hyper pigmentation. Natures candy is the key to beautiful skin.

Tip: Don't only use the fruit on your skin but eat it too. Eating it has a ton of skin benefits as well.

Dry Skin
Bananas- are a super fruit with its moisture properties. It helps soothe and nourish dry skin while tightening.
Avocados- its high in Vit. A, E and D which helps nourish dry skin. Its mostly an amazing moisturizer!
Papayas- are highly moisturizing fruits. Mix with some face cream and it will almost instantly soothe dry skin.

Oily Skin
Apples- mixed with honey they are a great light moisturizer.
Strawberries- are full of antioxidants which help detoxify the skin. Use as scrub on skin and will help improve                      skin

Sensitive Skin
Apples- is a gentle astringent and has softening properties. It keeps your skin supple and hydrated.
All Fruits- since fruits are all natural and chemical-free, they should all be safe. Some may be harsher than                     others

Acne
Papayas- helps cure blemishes on skin and even soothe stomach problems. Mash 4-5 cubes of it and rub on                 your skin daily and see your blemishes slowly clear.
Tomatoes- are full of vitamin A and C which help brighten skin and exfoliate. Tomatoes will reduce the size                    of breakouts

Scarring
Avocados- not only is it good for dry skins but the vitamin A and E are found to fade acne scars overtime. If                   you look vitamin A is found in most acne creams(named Retinol)

Dead Skin
Oranges- are amazing skin softeners. The vitamin C is used to brighten and exfoliate the skin. Grind dried                    peels and mix with milk and honey for a orange scrub
Pomegranates- are a winter fruit and are an amazing exfoliator. The juice helps keep skin soft and supple.

Those are all the fruits great for the skin! Incorporate these into any mask and see your skin shine! Until next time loves!

2014 BEAUTY WISHLIST

Its only been 4 days and it feels like its been 10, I guess I do need to be on a schedule to get posts in every 2 days. I've just been in major writers block right now! With 2014 in full gear its time to start buying those new year products. I've compiled a list of ten products I want to see in my makeup collection by December 31.

Ever since the Lorac Pro Palette same out I've been lusting after it, so has the whole beauty community. I just love the row of matte and row of shimmer. Another palette that I've wanting, that is quite new, is the Naked 3 Palette. It`s just so pretty and romantic perfect for a Valentines gift. Sadly I won`t have the money by February 14. Something else I'e been lusting after is some Sleek Blush Palettes. I have heard so much about them that I just can`t resist any longer. The Mrs.Bunny Sigma Brush Set is something I NEED! I really want to try out some sigma brushes and this set is just super cute. I am on the search for a perfect mattifying primer so I am hoping that I can the Korres Mattifying Primer out in 2014.

The Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara is something I've been wanting for who knows how long. I am hoping this is the year. I've heard so much about the Tarte 12hr Amazonian Clay Blushes so I'm really hoping to get my hands on one of these $31 blushes. Deborah Lippmann Nail Polish seems so amazing and high quality. There's such pretty colors and are a major want. I had a sample of the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks and I fell in LOVE so I'm hoping to get a full size in any color available! The last but not least is the Beauty Blender Pro. It looks so chic and you won't be as disgusted by the stains because you can't see them!

That's my top ten lusts for 2014! What are yours, beauty and more?

SHOP YOUR STASH- WET N WILD

Everyone has products deep in their collection that they totally forgot about. I know I do so I am starting a new series where I will feature one product that I decided to take out of my stash and use. I will then decided whether I want to keep it or not. This way I get rid of things I don't like while also finding new things I didn't know I loved. I encourage you all to do the same and Shop Your Stash! Todays choice is the Wet 'n' Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection.

The shadows are very buttery and creamy and easy to blend. The pigmentation of the shadows is slightly dodgy. It takes quite a few swipes to get it to an intense color payoff which is a huge bummer. Number 1 and 2 are absolutely ridiculous, I don't know how wet 'n' wild would even put them in the palette. They have little to no color payoff. They would be my most used eye shadow colors but sadly they are barely usable.

One big thing about these eye shadows that I really don't like is the fall out. These shadows have chunky glitter in them which seems to separate from the color when swatched or used. So your left with glitter all around your eyes and onto your cheek. tsk, tsk

I love how on the back of the palette they give you different combinations of colors that give you a different look. From natural to smokey. Its really handy for people that don't have a lot of creativity or makeup beginners. Its a very universal palette and can be used any time of day which makes it amazing.

The best part though is that its only like $3-$5CAD. Thats crazy!

1- has very little pigmentation but its a shimmer white color
2- No color payoff at all! But its a matte mauve color
5- Good pigmentaion. A shimmery, frosty pink but shows up white/cream when used.
6- A burnt orange, red, purple color. It has decent payoff. Need to use a lot of swipes of color

3- Very good color payoff. Its a dark purple color with light shimmer
4- A slightly lighter color than 3 with more shimmer. Really good pigmentation
7- A black color with bronzy shimmer. Good color payoff.
8- A black with sliver shimmer. Good pigmentation but shows up grayish.

My favorite colors from the palette are 5, 6 and 8.

Finally, I will be giving this away. I don't think the pigmentation is there and the fall out is too much for me. Yes some colors have good color pay-off but overall this palette is not up to par. Let me know what you think of this palette if you've tried it.

Until next time loves! What have you shopped for in your stash lately?
