CHRISTMAS EVE JOY!

Happy Christmas Eve my beautiful friends! I just wanted to wish you all a happy and safe Christmas Eve.  I also wanted to say thank you for all the supporters I have gained in the past 6 months of blogging. My goal is to get to 50 followers by 2014 and that's only 4 people away and I'm beyond excited. Blogging has been the best choice I have ever made and I wouldn't give it up for anything.

Christmas is the season of giving so I want to remind you all that don't just focus on giving people material items but give people encouragement, love, respect and help. Take time out of your Christmas schedule to help people and make their day, trust me they will appreciate it. Say Merry Christmas to your neighbors, friends, family and even strangers.

Most importantly, take this time to be with your family and friends. Get off of social media and technology as a whole and just enjoy each others company. Don't take anything for granted and if you are a fellow blogger take the day off of the blog. Just spend time with your family, you can always post your Christmas outfit post on the 26th you're not going to die. Christmas is meant to be with the people you love not reading what other people are doing through a screen or writing to strangers what you wore. Please just do it, you'll enjoy Christmas a whole lot more!

Thanks a so much everyone. Merry Christmas Eve Everyone and talk to you tomorrow (maybe) for the last day of Blogmas.

WORTH THE HYPE? BECCA MATTE PRIMER

Hello my beautiful friends. If you say you've never heard of the Becca Ever-Matte Primer, you're lying. It's been talked about and talked about then talked about some more among the beauty community. Everyone says it's the best matte primer ever, it keeps you matte all day and keeps your makeup on. Today I am going to share my thoughts on this primer and whether I think its worth the hype or not.

The band and cap is supposed to be a metallic sliver but it was too reflective in the photo so I had
cover it.

I honestly don't think this product is worth all the hype it gets. I didn't notice any difference in my oil control and staying power of my makeup when using this.

When I first applied it, the primer seemed like it would work amazing because it made my skin matte within the first minute. It felt slightly drying which I was kind of worried it would make my skin flaky but that wasn't even close to the major issue of this product. It made my pores virtually invisible when I first put the primer on, it just overall seemed great!

Then 8 hours passed without me checking my makeup at all and I looked in the mirror. My face was still super oily, my pores were visible and my makeup was still wearing off. It didn't make anything worse than without the primer but it sure didn't make it better.

I even used it with a matte foundation that I felt needed just a tad extra but my skin still looked the same. I may try this product again and do an update in the new year. It might be one of those products that you change your opinion the second time but for now I wouldn't waste your money on this product. I am so happy I got a sample before buying the full size.

I must say it does feel very light on the skin which is great so you don't feel like your pores are clogged and it drys superfast. I also love it doesn't have a silicone feel, I hate that. But the actually product doesn't work, sadly. I hate really high hopes for this and I was so excited that I might actually find a primer that works but nope. Just try, try again!

Well that's my short little review on the Becca Primer. I hope it helped some of you decide on whether you want this product or not. Even thought this didn't work for me, it might work for you. If you want to form your own opinion just simple ask for a sample, no need to hate. Happy Holidays!

WINTER WONDERLAND TAG- C2CC

Hello there my beautiful friends. Today I have another Christmas/Holiday tag. I first saw this tag on Shonas' blog or http://freshbeautyxox.blogspot.ca/ but it was created by the wonderful girl over at The Cute Little Beauty Blog. I did do another tag or the Christmas Tag in November but since its almost Christmas I thought I'd do another. There are only 10 questions so lets get into it...

What Winter holiday do you celebrate?
Christmas!

What is the one item you hope to receive as a present for Christmas?
Like any other beauty blogger, I would love to receive the Naked 3 Palette! Its just so beautiful!

Gingerbread cookies or candy canes?
Gingerbread cookies for sure! I like candy canes but gingerbread wins by far!

Snowball fights or Sledding?
Umm... believe it or not I've never had a snowball fight so I don't know how I like it. I don't really like the thought of cold ice flakes getting whipped at me so I guess sledding.

What is your go to Winter outfit?
Inside, definitely pajama bottoms and a sweater with fuzzy socks and slippers. I like being warm!
Outside, jeans with boots and chunky sweater!

What are your favourite Winter/Holiday makeup items?
Definitely moisturizer and a hydrating concealer like the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer.

Does it snow where you live?
Not a whole lot but we do get a couple days a year of snow!

What is your favourite Christmas song/holiday song?
I honestly don't have a favorite. I love them all from Michael Buble to Mariah Carey to Ariana Grande

What is your favourite holiday movie?
Ooh... another difficult one. I guess I would say ELF or Christmas With the Kranks!

What are your favourite holiday decorations?
Obviously the christmas tree, but besides that the lights! They are just so magical and joyful. They are what add the perfect finishing touch to your decorations!

I don't have anyone specifically to tag so I tag anyone reading this that wants to do it. It was actually quite fun to write up. Hope you all have a happy and healthy holiday!

GIFT GUIDE FOR MOMS AND GRANDMAS- C2CC

Hello there my beautiful friends. Sorry for no post yesterday but I was beyond busy and just didn't have time. I really need to get my posts scheduled this weekend, I do not want to miss another day. I promised myself I wouldn't miss a single day but I have, sadly. Anyway today I bring you another gift guide but this time for 2 of the most important people in your life, your mom and grandmas or any role-model figure in your life. This is based around relaxation and distressing since the woman figures in your life so pretty much everything for you. Lets get into it!
Gift Guide for Moms and Grandmas
Everyone loves sitting down in front of the fire with a hot cup of tea and a good movie. Any mom in need of a relaxation would love a gift set like this.
A nice pair of comfy slippers are the perfect addition to any relaxing night. A good quality pair of slippers are the perfect gift.
Now this is amazing. You can put it on an office chair, in your car or even on your couch. You get a full massage while watching T.V or doing a little work.
4. Spa Gift Certificate
A soft, warm bathrobe are perfect for after a shower or first thing in the morning. I always love receiving a nice bathrobe.
This is amazing for the person with a sore neck or if they just hate regular pillows and want something a little more luxurious.
This is some high class skin care. Its $100 dollars for it but the quality is there. If you are willing to spend a little extra on someone then this is the perfect gift for them.
Now this is such a cute and creative idea. If you don't have the money to buy a store bought gift then this is perfect. Its custom to anything you want and its actually useable! They can use it to enjoy their coffee or tea!
If you know someone who already owns a keurig machine and their k-cups are always a big jumbled mess then I would get them this. They will be more relaxed when its all clean.
10. Keurig Coffee Brewer Machine with Coffe Refills
This is kind of a more joke gift. Get it? Its called Hot Mama and you may be giving it to your mama. This could be an extra gift or a stocking stuffer.
All three of these could go together. Its just a mint and eucalyptus scent that supposedly helps relieve stress. Its a small little useful gift.
This is again another relaxing spa gift. If you have a dad that lives with your mom then you can put this in their stockings. They could give each other a nice relaxing massage at-home.

Some of these gifts could be paired together in a gift set or individual. I tried to make a range of cheap to expensive gifts as I know not everyone can afford 100+ gifts and others like spending that little extra on people. I hope you got some ideas for the special women in your life. Merry Christmas everyone!

HOLIDAY MAKEUP LOOK #2 SUBTLE

Hello there my beautiful friends!
How are you this lovely Wednesday? Can you believe Christmas is only 13 days away?! Its insane, it feels like just yesterday it was November 1 and now its December 11th!
Most Christmas parties are starting this weekend so I thought I'd show you another holiday look to wear to all your festive events. This look is more subtle and natural, its for the younger people or the people who don't wear much makeup. I hope you enjoy this cute, simple tutorial!

That is the breakdown of this makeup look. Let me know if you liked the instructions in the picture instead of it under the picture. It is a lot easier for me! I don't remember the website where the face picture is from but I just did a google search for face chart and this, along with many others, came up!
Hope you have a very merry holiday!

CHRISTMAS WISHLIST- C2CC

Christmas Wishlist

Hello there my beautiful friends! It's officially December and it's the first day of Blogmas! I'm super excited to start this series and see if I can keep up! Just a fore warning but a lot of the posts will be pre written, I won't schedule them because it can be sketchy so I will upload myself. Today I am going to share my Christmas wishlist, just some things I would like to see under the tree!

This is a brand spanking new palette. I love the rosy colors in it so I would really love this.

I know this was already in one of my wish lists but I couldn't bring myself to buy it, too expensive. So I put it on my Christmas list. This isn't a very "big" gift but I would still like to get it.

I don't necessarily need the naked and this palette but I put both on here so it gives more options. I wouldn't complain if I didn't get both.

This is definitely a big gift. This is something my mom or close family would get me because it is quite expensive. I've been wanting sigma brushes for so long now and I'm hoping this is the year to get them

5. Vera Wang Princess Perfume|$60-$90
I want a new perfume and this is one I've smelt and liked so I thought I would ask for it. I need to smell it again to make sure but for now I want this!

I love mascara so this is definitely a want. You get so many options, it's just fabulous! I may find a new mascara I love!

Another perfume! This is quite new if I'm correct. I've never had a juicy couture perfume so I really want one and this sounds good. I, again, need to  smell it but I'm sure I'll like it!

                                                                                        $330 or $195- necklace
This is a very extravagant gift but I've been wanting them for a while and I think it would be nice to receive. I don't have high hopes to get these but still it's a dream! I don't care if I get the necklace or bracelet.

That's all for my Christmas wishlist this year! I know it's not a ton but I couldn't really think of anything this year! And my wishes are quite expensive. I am very excited to see what I have under the tree, don't lie so are you! Hope you are excited about Blogmas, I know I am! Also let me know what you think of this wishlist style instead of my goals thing and only 2 products. I'm liking it better this way so I may keep it for 2014! Until next time, stay beautiful!

What is on your Christmas wishlist? Are you excited for Christmas?

SUNDAY SUM-UP #1

Hello there my beautiful friends and welcome to Blogmas day 8! It's Sunday and you know what that means, another 5 days back at work and school! Today I've decided to try something a little different, and that is a sum-up of my week.

This week I've been very off with my schedule. I planned only 3 posts because I couldn't think of post ideas so I decided to leave them till the day and well...that was a big mistake! I ended up posting at 8-10pm. Now still I didn't have time to plan the posts as I was super busy this weekend. This is a lot harder than I thought! I give daily bloggers a lot of credit now.

I have also been very busy with designing my blog layout this week. That's also why my schedules been off, I get sidetracked with the design that I completely forget about the posts. I have been asking Brittany from LifeSetSail for help with design as she has an etsy shop for design. She has been a very big help! Blog design is really difficult, I don't know how blog designers can make so many!

Now off the blog topic, there's only 16 days till Christmas and I have done no Christmas shopping! I need to get on that or everything will be sold out. I still don't know what to get half the people on my list. I do have a for his gift guide going up tomorrow, so keep an eye out!

As anyone else's skin, hands and lips been super dry lately? Even with moisturization, they are still super dry. It's so painful and uncomfortable. I need some intense moisture rescue.

Yesterday, Saturday, I guest posted on Shonas blog or freshbeautyxox.blogspot.com. I posted about how to keep your hair healthy in 5 easy steps and then on the 11th I am guest posting on Alicia's blog or thebeauty-journals.blogspot.com. Lots of guest postings this week.

Well that's basically my week in short. Now you know everything that happened last week, maybe not EVERYTHING. Let me know what you think of this type of posts, I like them because next year I can look back and see exactly what I did a year ago.

2 NEW PALETTES IN STORES!- C2CC

Hello there my beautiful friends, happy Saturday and happy 18 days till Christmas! Can you believe it? With Christmas so close, company's are trying to get all their new palettes out before so they can get lots of sales in before the new year. I chose 3 new palettes that are out now, to share a little bit about with you! One of them has everybody talking so it's no surprise it's in this post, I'm sure you've already guessed it! Before I start, I just want to say that I have not tried these yet so it's NOT a review, it's more of a showing. Let's get started...

One of the palettes that came out recently is the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette. It runs for $58CAD and $49USD. It's just a palette full of neutral colors that are wearable and timeless. It's similar to the Lorac Pro Pallette in that it has a row of shimmer and a row of mattes. This palette isn't much cheaper than the lorac but you could save a few dollars. It has 14 gorgeous colors and you can create a subtle look or a dark smokey look. As an added bonus, it comes with a dual ended brush and a full exposure mascara! Buy it here or here.

The next palette is the Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette. It runs for $68CAD or $59USD. This palette is fully packed with 20 eyeshadows from bright to dark to neutral. This is a limited edition palette so you better snatch it quick if you want this bad boy. It has metallics, satins, glitters, shimmers and mattes. What more could you ask for in a palette? It is also free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates! This also comes with a dual ended brush for all your blending needs. Buy it here or here.

The last but certainly not least is the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. It runs for $62CAD or $52USD. Until December 15th it's only available online, or at least for sephora. But that doesn't mean you can't still buy it. I'm sure you've heard a ton about this so I won't go on to much about it. This palette comes with 12 brand new UD shades and the shades are all rose-hued. Even though it's a pinky palette, they are still wearable colors. It has everything from super pale to super dark and it has pearls, stains, mattes, shimmers and metallics. Again it has a dual ended brush! Buy it here or here

Those are three of the new palettes that have caught my eye this holiday season. I just wanted to share them with you because I know a lot of people struggle with finding gifts for people or knowing what they want to ask for. This may give some of you ideas. These are all pretty pricey but they are all amazing quality shadows and perfect for all makeup wearers. Happy Holidays everyone!

What eyeshadow palettes do you have your eye on? Do you want any of these palettes?

CHRISTMAS OUTFIT IDEAS- C2CC

Hello there my beautiful friends! How was your week? I hope it was amazing and filled with happiness! With the holidays only a short while away, more and more parties, events and activities that are taking place. I've put together 4 outfits each for a different event. They are all pretty basic holiday looks that can be easily recreated at home. I hope you love these outfits as much as I do. Without further ado, let's get into the outfits...

Whether it's an office party or family party, this outfit is perfect for any formal event. You can leave the cardigan if it's hotter where you are. Even though the dress is no longer available, there are ton like this available. I gave a high heel option and and flat option of the same shoe, which ever your comfortable with. The gold toe adds that extra fanciness. If you want to mix metals, go for a silver clutch and if you want to keep the same metals go for a gold clutch. This is a classic holiday look!

This isn't necessarily a casual look but it's christmas you can't be wearing sweats! If you have a family dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and it isn't a super fancy event, this would be the perfect outfit. Black jeans are just a classic piece and go with everything. A white t shirt is just to make the outfit more Christmassy. The cardigan screams Christmas, it's the perfect red color. The gold purse and shoes had a bit more class and fanciness. This outfit is the perfect fancy-casual mix for the holidays.

Whether you're doing some Christmas baking, decorating the tree or just sitting by the fire with hot chocolate, this outfit is perfect. It's warm and comfortable while still being cute. Form fitting sweats make you look more put together than baggy. The Christmas sweater is essential for any Christmas outfit. You can opt for either a slipper sock or a regular slipper. The socks are easier to walk in but the slippers are comfiest. My go to comfy holiday look.

This is definitely my favorite outfit. If you are walking outside to look at all the Christmas lights or just talking a walk to enjoy fresh air, this is the most adorable outfit to do it in. The tights add that Christmas touch to make it the holiday outfit. For more warth you need a good coat and this one from American Eagle is not only warm but super cute. There are three options for shoes that work for this outfit. For s more comfort shoe go for uggs. If you want to add an edge I would choose combat boots. If you want a more chic, girly look go for heeled booties. This is a warm and cute snow day outfit.

That's it for my Christmas outfit ideas, I hope you liked them. Like I said before they are all pretty easy to recreate even if you don't have access to the exact pieces. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season!

What are you going to wear to each of these event?

FASHION GIFT GUIDE FOR HER- C2CC

Hello there beautiful people! Happy Hump Day... no just no! With Christmas fast approaching people are needing to find gifts for people pronto! I decided its time for another gift guide post, this time: fashion for her. I know there's a lot of items in this gift guide but I wanted to give more options of different items. I tried to make some expensive and some cheaper so it can cater to all budgets. Let's get started...

Everyone needs a scarf in their wardrobe so it's a perfect gift. I would stick with neutral, no pattern scarfs as you don't know what they'd like. There are a ton of scarves out there!
5. Michael Kors Rose Gold Runaway Watch

These are obviously a more expensive gift. If you are very close with a person or just feel like spending $300 on someone, I would definitely buy these. Make sure the person wears watches first! Michael Kors watches are just a classic!

Beanies are just a basic piece, they aren't for everyone but if you know someone who would look good in a beanie I would give it to them. They are more of a extra gift than just a main gift in my opinion. You can find very nice ones if you try.

9. Victoria Secret- PINK- Zip Hoodie|$50
10. Victoria Secret- PINK Signature Zip Hoodie(similar)
11.Victoria Secret- PINK- Perfect Zip Hoodie|$50
12.Victoria Secret- PINK- Faux Fur Signature Zip Hoodie|$99

13.Victoria Secret- PINK- Yoga Crop Legging|$40
14. VS- PINK- Yoga Legging|$40
15.Victoria Secret- PINK- Bootcut Yoga Pant|$50

Victoria Secret clothing is an essential in all girls wardrobe. They are slightly overpriced so not a lot of people want to but it themselves. They will really appreciate some VS clothing as a gift, they don't have spend $50 on a hoodie!

Handbags are always wanted, even if they don't admit it. Every girl dreams of having enough handbags for each day of the year. A nice handbag will always be a win. If you're feeling generous, opt for a Louis Vuitton or Michael Kors. If you think they deserve something nice, go for a Steve Madden or Rebecca Minkoff. If your budget is lower, go for the Topshop, HM, F21 type brands.

21. UGG Australia- Dakota Moccasin|$100
22. Kohls- SO Suede Moccasins|$44(on sale now for $15)
23. Acorn New Spa Thong|$36

Lastly, everyone wants a nice comfy pair of shoes. Moccasins are always amazing because you can either wear them inside as slippers or sometimes outside as warm shoes. I love moccasins. UGG makes amazing ones but not everyone can afford it so you can find cheaper alternatives at Payless, Kohls even Target. Also a comfy pair of flip flops is nice if you live in a warmer climate. I recommend memory foam or spa ones.

That's the end of my fashion gift guide, I hope you enjoyed and got some new Christmas present ideas! Let me know any other gift guides you want as I have a ton more days of posts I have to fill!

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING ON A BUDGET- C2CC

             *backround picture from WeHeartIt*

Hello there my beautiful friends,

Along with the start of December comes the hustle and bustle of people trying to get their Christmas shopping done. As a lot people with big families know, you can spend a lot of money on presents. You may run out of money half way through and not be able to get everyone a gift or get them a not so good gift. You don't want to be stuck giving your mom a $2 Starbucks giftcard! But there are many ways to get around that dreadful mishap which I am going to share with you today! This will not only help people with larger families but for people that just don't make enough to buy presents for all their loved ones!

First off, I would buy presents in the order of importance to you(not saying your cousins aren't important but I think your mom or dad would be the top priority). The top of my list would be my mom and then my siblings and then my grandmother and then my dad etc... This way you avoid giving the most important people a not so good gift.

If you are really tight with money try handmaking most of your gifts. This is a more personal option and it costs a lot less than buying your mom the new Naked Palette for $52, your dad an iPad or your sister a pair of American Apparel shorts for $60 to $70. I know you may think no one will appreciate it but trust me, it means more to them than they show.

Look for sales! If no one asked for something specific then look for things on clearance or discount. It could save loads of money. I would really take advantage of Black Friday if you are in North America as you could save 100s of dollars on originally expensive things. Also Bath and Body Works always has amazing sales around Christmas! You could get a number of gifts for people without costing you a ton.

ReGift! This may be unthoughtful to some people but if you can't afford brand new things it's the best you got. If you've received something in the past that you just haven't used and will not use it then give it to someone else. *make sure the person didn't give it to you because that would be awkward* I see no harm is regifting, one, you save money, two, it doesn't waste a perfectly good item!

If your daughter or someone really wants the Naked 3 Palette and you don't have the heart to say no or not give it to them, I would talk to him/her and ask if it's okay if it's a gift from both you and her dad or sister or brother or aunt etc... She/he may realize they don't want it that bad after all and will settle for 2 not as extravagant gift.

Give out coupons! No I'm talking about the coupons you rip out of your local newspaper! I mean make your own! Like one free massage, one free ride anywhere, one free at-home manicure, one free homeade meal etc.. You can customize to fit the person and the best part it's free!(besides the cost of the paper)

The last budget friendly tip is to buy presents throughout the year! This may be difficult for some families but by doing this you cut down your costs at Christmas in half. By the time December rolls around you've already got most of the presents for people. Also this way you can ask someone if they want a certain thing without them being suspicious.

That's all the money saving tips I have for today! All these tips can work for Birthdays or any gift-giving holiday! I hope you enjoyed learning some new ways to save during the holiday season and will put them to good use. May your days be merry and bright!

What's your number one money saving tip for the holidays? Share it with us!

CLASSIC HOLIDAY MAKEUP- C2CC

Products Used:
E.L.F Blush in Candid Coral
BH Cosmetics Eyebrow Pencil
Star looks Kohl Eye Pencil in Obsidian
Urban Decay Eyeshadows: W.O.S, Naked 2, Faint
Revlon Lash Potion Mascara
Revlons Wine with Everything Lipstick

1. Contour how you normally would
-contouring isn't the main focus in the look so it doesn't matter how you do it
2. Apply any blush color you prefer
        - again blush doesn't matter all that much, but no red blush!

3. Put a nude eyeshadow all over lid. Put a matte taupe/brown in the crease. Put a deep brown in outer corner and blend.
-you can go more dramatic but I am going for just the classic look! Clean and simple.
4. Put matte taupe/brown on lower lash line.
-this will even out your eyes and prevent them from looking top heavy.

5. Apply black winged eyeliner and set with black eyeshadow
-winged liner is a classic makeup trend. It simple and pretty. Setting with
eyeshadow will give you longer wear

6. Apply your favorite red lipstick
-the red lip is one of the main focuses. Always apply red with a lip brush and
once finished outline lips with concealer to get the perfect edge.

7. Lastly, apply your choice of mascara on upper and lower lashes.
-I can't show mascara on paper so I left it out but just apply as little or as
         much as you want.

I hope you all enjoyed this makeup look post. Let me know what you think of the face chart idea, it was really fun and easy to make! I feel it's better than an online image. Sorry it is messy in some places, you can erase red lipstick or eyeliner of paper. Next time I will try to not make a mess. Thanks so much loves.

What makeup are you wearing on Christmas? Do you like the face chart tutorial?
