SHARE THE LOVE- THE SMALL THINGS BLOG

Its been a while since my last SHARE THE LOVE so I might as well bring it back with a blog I have been loving for a while now. KATE from THE SMALL THINGS BLOG runs a beauty, fashion, lifestyle and personal blog with a main focus of hair.

I love how simple and classic her layout is. Its neat, organized and easy to navigate. Her blog title was also the inspiration for my new name. I just loved how versatile the name was.

Her writing is like you're talking to her face to face. She doesn't make things too complicated and explains things with ease especially with her hair tutorials. (Most are made in video form)

Some of my favorite hair tutorials:
The Mid Knot
Messy Bun w/ Braid
A Little Bow
Lightly Curled Hair

I always find myself reading every single one of her posts and loving it. I also appreciate the personal aspects about her blog like about her pregnancy and her life. She also has an amazing mini-series about starting a blog: first post, second post, third post.

I really recommend checking out her blog if you haven't already!

CHANGING MY BLOG NAME!

Hey there everyone! I know this may come as a bit of a shock but I am changing my blog name to Lifes Little Things!

I didn't want to restrict my blog to only anything about beauty or fashion and I felt Head 2 Toe Vogue did that. Vogue magazine is mostly about fashion and beauty. Lifes Little Things is going to be about anything in my life that I love. Big or small.

If I find a new lipstick I love, I'll share. A new recipe? It'll go on the blog. Anything in my life! It will put less pressure on trying to put up a new beauty post or fashion or even lifestyle. I can put up whatever I feel like at the moment.

The new name can grow with me and can conform to any topic I can think of. I hope you beauties can accept the change. I love my new name and am excited about it. The name may be changed within the next few hours, depending on when your reading this.

CANCELLED- BLOGGERS ADVICE SERIES?

Have you ever been sitting down doing nothing and think up an idea that you think is just fabulous? I just got this wonderful idea that may be worth giving a try. I am interested to know your girls thoughts on this new series idea.

Every week, 2 weeks, month... I haven't figured this out yet but anyway. I would tweet or put up a blog post asking for bloggers to volunteer for a chance to give advice to fellow bloggers or just readers. There will be a set topic every post. The topic can be beauty, fashion, lifestyle related. From photography, to tips and tricks to personal advice. I will ask for bloggers that specialize in that weeks topic to volunteer, but anyone is more than welcome to email me about wanting to take part in that topic.

To sign up for that weeks topic you can tweet me your email, post your email on the blog posts comment or if you're not comfortable in releasing your email you can email me personally. I will email all participants the topic. The blog post and tweet will go out the week before. For example/ if the advice post goes up on Feb. 21 then I will ask for bloggers on the 14th and so on, you will have plently of time to get your advice together.

As this is the very first post in the series, I am asking for volunteers now up until the 18th of febuary. The post will go up on the 21st. The topic is a basic one that is open to anyone, Staying true to yourself throughout your life and/or blogging journey!

Please join! There is no set limit to how many bloggers can take part. Depends on the turn out of the project and the length of the advice. Maybe 5-10?

Thanks so much loves!

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS STYLE STEAL

Who else loves Pretty Little Liars? I do! and now that the second half of season 4 premiered on Tuesday I thought I'd do a little style steal of the outfits from the episode. I chose one for each of the girls that I liked the best. Some of these pieces are exacts and some are similar. I tried to find at least one exact item per outfit and I succeeded! I think each of the outfits I chose for the girls are an exact representation of their styles which is a bonus! Lets get into the outfits..

Spencers style is very preppy and "nerdy" I guess you could say. Its very put together and proper, she involves a lot of blazers, dresses, blouses, oxfords and structured things into her wardrobe. I saw this outfit from the episode which I think captures her fashion perfectly. The blazer is very structured and fitting and the dress is also very form fitting and has a classic shape to it. The dress is an exact piece from the show but the blazer is a similar item.

Aria always has very interesting, girly, well thought out outfits.I do admit that this isn't a very typical Aria outfit but I think it still captures an essence of her style with the girliness. The dress is absolutely adorable and has a pop of red/orange in it which gives off an Aria vibe. The jean jacket just adds that little extra something to the outfit so it's not completely boring. The dress is an exact match to the one in the show and the jean vest is a similar one as the exact match was sold out. The original is from Aeropostale though if anyone is interested

Hanna is the one to have the very chic, fashion forward, trendy outfits. Hanna stays very on trend unlike Spencer who wears things not necessarily trendy. Shes usually seen in little jackets that add a jazz to an outift, cute dresses, funky jeans/pants and high heels. This outfit captures this perfectly, its a very fashionable outfit and involves some trendy things right now like booties, leather and fashionable sweatpants. Sorry that everything is sold out but that just proves how trendy she is! Everything is an exact match to the items shes wearing which may explain the expensive blouse from Marc Jacobs.

Pants | Shirt and Slightly Similar Option | Jacket-Not on Zara site(weird)

Finally we have Emily who is the more tomboy, sporty dresser. She is mostly seen in jeans, plain sneakers like converse or vans, a plain t-shirt with a jacket/sweater over top. She does wear dresses sometimes which explains my outfit choice. I couldn't find a whole outfit from the episode that I likes so I took 2 pieces from separate outfits to feature. The first is a dress which is a t-shirt style and gives off a sport jersey look. Perfect piece for Shay Mitchells character. This is an exact piece from show. I actually really love the dress. The last item is a black and white pleather jacket. The exact match is not sold anymore sadly so I found this somewhat similar jacket from express. Its just very casual.

That's the four outfits from the mid-season premiere episode. Sorry a lot of the things are sold out but I guess more people found out about where to buy the exacts and bought them out. I'm really annoying about the Zara jacket, I actually really like it. I was actually surprised about how long it took me to put this post together so I hope you liked it. Until next time my loves!

What else do you want to see on my blog?

WINTER STYLE STEAL- VANESSA HUDGENS

Vanessa Hudgens Look for Less

Black Leather Panel Legging: 1|2  White Hoodie: 1|2  Black Cardigan: 1|2  Black Leather Jacket: 1|2  Red Leather Purse: 1  Black Boots: 1|2

Hello there everyone. Long time no talk. So sorry I missed the past 2 days of Blogmas but I've just been super busy. Christmas is quickly arriving so I spent all my time buying and wrapping presents then family came into town and I just lost track of time. I may stop blogmas early but I still want to get some posts up before Christmas. Anyway I really wanted to get a post up today so I decided on a Steal Her Style post. This time for Winter as its officially the first day of Winter.

This is a simple outfit based all on layering and leather. Her pants are black leather paneled legging which is so chic. I don't think they're very comfortable for a plane ride but whatever floats your boat! Vanessa has on a white hoodie with adds a pop of brightness to this otherwise dark outfit and over that it looks as though she has a black cardigan on. Perfect for the cold weather but still adorable. Then to top of the top section(see what I did there?) she put on a staple black leather jacket. It adds the extra warmth while still cuter than a giant marshmallow jacket.

The last finishing touches to the look is the bag and the shoes. The giant red leather bag adds a pop of color while still keeping it season appropriate and classy. A giant neon pink bag would look slightly out of place with this outfit :/ The shoes are hard to see but it looks like lace up black booties. I just went for a short combat boot to play it safe. But feel free to go for whatever black short boots suit you best, whether it be dr. martens or slip on black booties.

Thats the end of this Steal Her Style. I fell in love with this comfy, casual, cute outfit so I thought I'd share it with you all. Leave me requests for other celebrities I should do and your request might just show up on your feed! Mwah! Happy HoliKwanzMas! (Holiday/Hanukkah/Kwanza/Christmas)

SHARE THE LOVE- A LITTLE CHRISTMAS GIFT

Hello there my beautiful friends. How was your Saturday or Sunday? (depending when you're reading this) Since its the season of giving, I decided to do a little share the love post. I chose bloggers who every time they post I have to read the post. No matter what it is, I have to read it. These are just five of my must-have blogs/bloggers.

If you are in need of a relaxing night with a good blog, this is the perfect blog. Her posts are so well written and her pictures are amazing as well. For the Christmas season she has some amazing gift guides for every type of person. If you want some inspiration in life check out her blog posts, they are great. She also has a Youtube channel if you prefer to watch instead of read. Her blog is must read!

I first found her blog during a beauty bloggers chat on twitter and I instantly fell in love with her blog. The layout is so simple but still pretty, as you can see above. I love her writing style as well, its as if your having a conversation with her. I can really tell she puts a lot of effort into her blog. She so far as 164 posts up and every one of them is awesome. Her photos are such good quality as well which is one of the first things I look for in a blog and I know you guys do too. I really recommend ChrissyLilly for a good read.

This is another youtuber/blogger. She has such a glam blog! Okay, this has to be the first thing I say, her photos are AMAZING! I just don't understand how you can get pictures to look that clear. She is also beyond gorgeous. Like the others, her writing is good too. All her posts are useful and informative, at least to me, and she gets up a lot of posts! I think everyday or almost everyday, you will never be without a new post to read. It looks like she spends a lot of time on her blog posts as well. Go read her blog now!

First off, I just want to say she is so nice and helpful. She really helped me with blog design tips and didn't get annoyed with me(or at least she didn't show it, ahah). Her blog design is simple and easy to navigate so you will never be overwhelmed with buttons and pictures. Her pictures are absolutely stunning as well and so is she! Her blog posts are short but quality information. If you are short on time but want a blog to read, hers would be amazing as her posts are short. You will never leave a post without learning something. Life, Set Sail is an amazing read!

Last but definetly not least is Little Miss Average. I would have to say her blog name doesn't represent her blog at all. Its not average. I'm not sure if she was in my other share the love but who cares, she deserves it! Her blog has amazing pictures and amazing content. If you are in a weight loss journey, check out her Weight Loss Wednesday posts. If you want some blogging tips, check out her blogging tips section. As you can see she has very informative posts and a lot of helpful posts. Check out Little Miss Average for her not so average blog.

Well that's the end of my Christmas share the love. I hope you check out at least one of these girls and give them some love. Yes I know they all have more followers than me but who cares? I think they deserve more and I'm still going to give them some love. I love doing share the loves, they are so easy to write and I feel so happy after I'm done writing it. Merry Christmas everyone!

GIFT GUIDE FOR MOMS AND GRANDMAS- C2CC

Hello there my beautiful friends. Sorry for no post yesterday but I was beyond busy and just didn't have time. I really need to get my posts scheduled this weekend, I do not want to miss another day. I promised myself I wouldn't miss a single day but I have, sadly. Anyway today I bring you another gift guide but this time for 2 of the most important people in your life, your mom and grandmas or any role-model figure in your life. This is based around relaxation and distressing since the woman figures in your life so pretty much everything for you. Lets get into it!
Gift Guide for Moms and Grandmas
Everyone loves sitting down in front of the fire with a hot cup of tea and a good movie. Any mom in need of a relaxation would love a gift set like this.
A nice pair of comfy slippers are the perfect addition to any relaxing night. A good quality pair of slippers are the perfect gift.
Now this is amazing. You can put it on an office chair, in your car or even on your couch. You get a full massage while watching T.V or doing a little work.
4. Spa Gift Certificate
A soft, warm bathrobe are perfect for after a shower or first thing in the morning. I always love receiving a nice bathrobe.
This is amazing for the person with a sore neck or if they just hate regular pillows and want something a little more luxurious.
This is some high class skin care. Its $100 dollars for it but the quality is there. If you are willing to spend a little extra on someone then this is the perfect gift for them.
Now this is such a cute and creative idea. If you don't have the money to buy a store bought gift then this is perfect. Its custom to anything you want and its actually useable! They can use it to enjoy their coffee or tea!
If you know someone who already owns a keurig machine and their k-cups are always a big jumbled mess then I would get them this. They will be more relaxed when its all clean.
10. Keurig Coffee Brewer Machine with Coffe Refills
This is kind of a more joke gift. Get it? Its called Hot Mama and you may be giving it to your mama. This could be an extra gift or a stocking stuffer.
All three of these could go together. Its just a mint and eucalyptus scent that supposedly helps relieve stress. Its a small little useful gift.
This is again another relaxing spa gift. If you have a dad that lives with your mom then you can put this in their stockings. They could give each other a nice relaxing massage at-home.

Some of these gifts could be paired together in a gift set or individual. I tried to make a range of cheap to expensive gifts as I know not everyone can afford 100+ gifts and others like spending that little extra on people. I hope you got some ideas for the special women in your life. Merry Christmas everyone!

CHRISTMAS OUTFIT IDEAS- C2CC

Hello there my beautiful friends! How was your week? I hope it was amazing and filled with happiness! With the holidays only a short while away, more and more parties, events and activities that are taking place. I've put together 4 outfits each for a different event. They are all pretty basic holiday looks that can be easily recreated at home. I hope you love these outfits as much as I do. Without further ado, let's get into the outfits...

Whether it's an office party or family party, this outfit is perfect for any formal event. You can leave the cardigan if it's hotter where you are. Even though the dress is no longer available, there are ton like this available. I gave a high heel option and and flat option of the same shoe, which ever your comfortable with. The gold toe adds that extra fanciness. If you want to mix metals, go for a silver clutch and if you want to keep the same metals go for a gold clutch. This is a classic holiday look!

This isn't necessarily a casual look but it's christmas you can't be wearing sweats! If you have a family dinner on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and it isn't a super fancy event, this would be the perfect outfit. Black jeans are just a classic piece and go with everything. A white t shirt is just to make the outfit more Christmassy. The cardigan screams Christmas, it's the perfect red color. The gold purse and shoes had a bit more class and fanciness. This outfit is the perfect fancy-casual mix for the holidays.

Whether you're doing some Christmas baking, decorating the tree or just sitting by the fire with hot chocolate, this outfit is perfect. It's warm and comfortable while still being cute. Form fitting sweats make you look more put together than baggy. The Christmas sweater is essential for any Christmas outfit. You can opt for either a slipper sock or a regular slipper. The socks are easier to walk in but the slippers are comfiest. My go to comfy holiday look.

This is definitely my favorite outfit. If you are walking outside to look at all the Christmas lights or just talking a walk to enjoy fresh air, this is the most adorable outfit to do it in. The tights add that Christmas touch to make it the holiday outfit. For more warth you need a good coat and this one from American Eagle is not only warm but super cute. There are three options for shoes that work for this outfit. For s more comfort shoe go for uggs. If you want to add an edge I would choose combat boots. If you want a more chic, girly look go for heeled booties. This is a warm and cute snow day outfit.

That's it for my Christmas outfit ideas, I hope you liked them. Like I said before they are all pretty easy to recreate even if you don't have access to the exact pieces. I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season!

What are you going to wear to each of these event?

FASHION GIFT GUIDE FOR HER- C2CC

Hello there beautiful people! Happy Hump Day... no just no! With Christmas fast approaching people are needing to find gifts for people pronto! I decided its time for another gift guide post, this time: fashion for her. I know there's a lot of items in this gift guide but I wanted to give more options of different items. I tried to make some expensive and some cheaper so it can cater to all budgets. Let's get started...

Everyone needs a scarf in their wardrobe so it's a perfect gift. I would stick with neutral, no pattern scarfs as you don't know what they'd like. There are a ton of scarves out there!
5. Michael Kors Rose Gold Runaway Watch

These are obviously a more expensive gift. If you are very close with a person or just feel like spending $300 on someone, I would definitely buy these. Make sure the person wears watches first! Michael Kors watches are just a classic!

Beanies are just a basic piece, they aren't for everyone but if you know someone who would look good in a beanie I would give it to them. They are more of a extra gift than just a main gift in my opinion. You can find very nice ones if you try.

9. Victoria Secret- PINK- Zip Hoodie|$50
10. Victoria Secret- PINK Signature Zip Hoodie(similar)
11.Victoria Secret- PINK- Perfect Zip Hoodie|$50
12.Victoria Secret- PINK- Faux Fur Signature Zip Hoodie|$99

13.Victoria Secret- PINK- Yoga Crop Legging|$40
14. VS- PINK- Yoga Legging|$40
15.Victoria Secret- PINK- Bootcut Yoga Pant|$50

Victoria Secret clothing is an essential in all girls wardrobe. They are slightly overpriced so not a lot of people want to but it themselves. They will really appreciate some VS clothing as a gift, they don't have spend $50 on a hoodie!

Handbags are always wanted, even if they don't admit it. Every girl dreams of having enough handbags for each day of the year. A nice handbag will always be a win. If you're feeling generous, opt for a Louis Vuitton or Michael Kors. If you think they deserve something nice, go for a Steve Madden or Rebecca Minkoff. If your budget is lower, go for the Topshop, HM, F21 type brands.

21. UGG Australia- Dakota Moccasin|$100
22. Kohls- SO Suede Moccasins|$44(on sale now for $15)
23. Acorn New Spa Thong|$36

Lastly, everyone wants a nice comfy pair of shoes. Moccasins are always amazing because you can either wear them inside as slippers or sometimes outside as warm shoes. I love moccasins. UGG makes amazing ones but not everyone can afford it so you can find cheaper alternatives at Payless, Kohls even Target. Also a comfy pair of flip flops is nice if you live in a warmer climate. I recommend memory foam or spa ones.

That's the end of my fashion gift guide, I hope you enjoyed and got some new Christmas present ideas! Let me know any other gift guides you want as I have a ton more days of posts I have to fill!

HOLIDAY SWEATERS- COUNTDOWN 2 CHRISTMAS CHEER

Hello there my beautiful friends! Thanks goodness it's Friday! This week felt too long! I just wanted to come home and write and think about Christmas. I was thinking about a Christmas sweater and how I don't have one yet so I assumed a lot of people don't either. I put together a list of Christmas sweaters all for a reasonable price. I will be making my eon this year but all of these are very cute. Most of them are available to the UK, Canada and USA but some are only for one country. Without further ado, here are some xmas sweaters/jumpers...

-this is also very funny! It's just a tacky slightly crude sweater but that's    why I love it!
-if you want something really subtle go for this! It's also a funny one! I could see myself buying this one.
-it's very festive. It's just such a cute and tacky sweater! Adore this!
-this one is very fun and colourful, it's perfect for the no picture people, just the design people.
5. Emma Kiss Me it's Christmas Jumper|$30USD|£15|$35CAD
-this is just a cute one. If you see your partner on Xmas I would wear this!
         - I absolutely love this one! I want this so badly! It's sequins! I may buy this!
-the picture isn't the linked one but it's the same price and same design. This is a funny one that is simple.
8.  Dear Santa Christmas Jumper|£37|$65USD
          - this is a super girly sweater and I love that about it! It's simple but lovely. I would snatch it up now as it's onsale for £22 or $38USD

Christmas Sweater 2

9. NewLook Grey Penguin Christmas Jumper|£28|$43CAD
-Cute 3D sweater. I think this is super cute! I would totally buy this if I wasn't DIYing mine this year.
10. BooHoo Kourtney Cheeky Reindeer Christmas Jumper|$30USD
           - this is just a plain sweater, nothing too special. This is good if you want a Xmas sweater but don't want to be over the top!
11. Freida Father Christmas Jumper|$30USD
          - again another simple one. This is a little more festive than the last one though!
12. Rudolph and Father Christmas Red Xmas Jumper|£20|$27.44USD
          - this is a combo of the last 2 sweaters. It's a little different though because Santa looks angry!
13.  Black Gingerbread Man Christmas Jumper|£25
          - I feel like this is more of a mans sweater, it's nothing too gaudy or cutesy. It's more of a very basic sweater.
14. Flying Reindeer Jumper|£35|$61USD
          - lastly a very magical sweater. This is definitely a more subtle Christmas sweater. This is everyday appropriate for the office or other formal settings. On sale for £22 or $38USD!

That is the end of my sweater picks, I hope you enjoyed and found a cute one you want! It's almost December so you better find one quick! 2 days till Blogmas starts and I couldn't be more excited, I hope you are! Hope your day is filled with happiness and positivity, lots of love!

Do you have a Christmas sweater ready for this year?
