BEAUTY BLOGGER SERIES- FINAL CHAPTER

Hello there my beautiful friends! I am so excited for Monday! .... says no one ever. Just think in 5 days it will be Friday again! Anyway, today is the final chapter of the beauty blogger series! Today's topic was supposed to be your top 5 products of 2013 but I already did a post very similar not to long ago so I didn't want to be repeative. I decided to change it a bit and do my Holy Grail and Holy Fail of 2013. I hope Bethan doesn't mind.

sorry the pictures are slightly blurry, when exported from PixlrExpress, they lost the quality.
Need to find a new editor, let me know if you have any

This is my Holy Grail of 2013! Maybelline Color Tattoo Metal in Barely Branded! I wore this almost every single day! The reason I have quite a bit left is because I only need a tiny bit of it and I didn't wear it throughout the summer and on weekends, but trust me it's been loved. I feel like I should throw it out but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I did have a swatch picture but I accidentally deleted it! If you can't tell it's a champagne color or a shimmery beige. It does crease if used alone but a primer will fix that mess up! It really does last a long time, a swatch on my hand lasted all day and even into the next with constant washings! This really is a holy grail!

This is my Holy Fail of 2013! It's the Rimmel Glam'Eyes Quad Eyeshadow in #18 Romantic Cool. When you look at the palette, it looks gorgeous right? Nice, neutral colors. This palette would be great, if the colors actually showed up! If you look at the swatched your probably thinking: "those look like they have nice pigmentation." Well in swatches they do but as soon as you put it on your eye... Poof!.... Gone! The shadows are almost none existent. Number 3 shows up the most and Number 4 shows up the least. I tried to make a look with them but it didn't even show up, it looked like I had nothing on my eyes. This has to be the biggest fail I've tried all year! Really don't waste your money on this, you'll be left with nothing but disappointment, lost money and a shotty eyeshadow look.

I hope you found this somewhat helpful and enjoyed reading it. I know my pictures aren't the best but I'm still trying to find a new picture editing app! There's is one week left till Blogmas starts so be prepared for loads of new posts! Thanks my loves!

What is your Holy Fail and Holy Grail of 2013? Any ideas for Blogmas posts?

Whats in the Bag? August- Closing Thoughts!

Hello Warriors

As you know for the past 2 months I did a Whats in the Bag? series, I was going to continue for a while but I realized I am not buying enough new products each month to continue! In August I bought nothing new to try in September so this will be the end of the series. But... I am still going to share my thoughts on my August products! If you want to see what products for July I had and my thoughts click here.

So for August I only had 2 products the Physician Formula Lash Boosting Eyeliner in Black and the Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sunlight. Firstly I have to be honest, I didn't get to try out these products that much because I didn't wear makeup that often this month and if I did it was just a little concealer, powder and waterproof mascara. I probably tried each like 3-5 times... I know :( So remember to take the reviews lightly.

The eyeliner is very easy to apply which I love. I usually can't do winged liner very well but with this it's super easy. The line is very black and pigmented so you only have to go over the line once. I think it did last a long time even during the hot summer month definitely not 24 hours though. I obviously can't test if it makes your eyelashes grown because I didn't wear it enough but I highly doubt it actually works. It is kinda smudgy since the formula so wet so be careful when you first apply. As for the claim of waterproof... I didn't wear it on my eyes in water but it was on my hand and I ran it under water, it didn't smudge but it slowly started flaking off.

For the bronzer I don't have much to say.. it did give a really natural look as the name states which means it didn't really show up. I think the color is too light for me, I feel like I could use this as a powder. it has slight shimmer to it nothing super noticeable. I didn't test the waterproof claim sorry but I don't think it would last that long in water.

Final Verdict: Eyeliner would recommend for anyone, Bronzer if you have a really pale complexion if your skin is usually light or darker in foundation I would try a darker bronzer(this bronzer does have two other colors)

See you in my next post!

Whats In the Bag? July- Closing Thoughts + August Products!

Hello Warriors

Its the end of the month so it's time to give you my final thoughts on the products I chose to put in my makeup bag for July. Let's get into it...

Click here to view the description of the products and pictures!

The first product was Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Pressed Powder..  ...This powder right of the bat gives you a sunburnt look to your face if you apply just a little to much, the powder is the right shade too. It doesn't do this though if just applied over bare skin. It does give good coverage not full coverage but light to medium. It's also very matte. I don't think I would repurchase this because I wanted a powder that gave extra coverage over my foundation but I can't apply it over my foundation :\ It's good for light makeup days though :)

The next product is the Tarte Amazonian Clay Concealer...  ...This says its waterproof but its not! I went into the pool without rubbing my face and it still wore off... Big thumbs down. However it is full coverage and covers everything! Its also very easy to blend which is good for summertime when your too lazy and hot to spend a lot of time. I would repurchase it, this was the best product this month!

The final product is the Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara...  ...This mascara shouldn`t say water- resistant, it should say waterproof! This is the hardest thing to take off ever!!! One night I didn`t even bother taking it off because it was taking too long and my eyes started to hurt. NOT GOOD! It does lengthen really well but absolutely no volumizing so it made me look like I have no lashes. Would be good if layered over or under a volumizing mascara, I think. Would not repurchase, least favorite product this month!

This month I feel was a big fail... only one of the three I would buy again! Let me know your opinion of these products in the comments if you`ve tried them.

Now for Augusts Products I`m trying. This months products are very summer related again.

The products I chose are The Physicians Formula Lash Boosting Eyeliner in Black and The Rimmel Natural Bronzer in Sunlight.

The Eyeliner says it boosts your lashes in 4 weeks, thats it has 24 hour wear and thats its water-resistant, smudge resistant! Hmmm...

The Bronzer says its waterproof and last for 10 hours. It also says it gives a natural bronze! Sounds good to me!

Excited to try this months products and see if they are good or not!
